What we put in our bodies makes a real impact on us. Everything you eat pushes us either towards health or early death.  Health is a journey not a destination.  I would like to share some tips with you to take on your journey:

1. Invest now and stay healthy or invest later when you are sick. So if you haven’t decided whether you want to get a personal trainer or to take supplements because of the cost, think of this.

2. Drink your weight in water. You will find it’s not that hard.  Taking a sip of water every 15 minutes is a lot easier than trying to drink 8 ounces at a time. And when you do you will see a glow in your skin.

3. Hungry? Drink water first. It could be that your body is thirsty instead of hungry.

4. Eating right or eating healthy enables us to feel our best. And if you get sick along the way, your body will be in a far better position to defend itself and make a quick recovery.

5. Eat Fresh! and I don’t mean Subway. Eat your vegetables. Find ones you really love. Get creative in preparing them. Give yourself a challenge to eat a new veggie a week. Juice then and make your own V8 juice. Fresh veggie juice is very yummy.

6. Fiber – it’s the scrub brushes for your insides. It keeps things moving and not clogged. You should have a bowel movements for every meal you consume. So add fiber to your meal time. You will find them in veggies, fruits, and grains.

I hope that you can find one of these tips useful. The key to total beauty starts from the inside out.  You are what you eat!

Tip to Looking Ageless at 50

There are a few things that I highly recommend to everyone to start on their road to Feeling Fabulous. My first recommendation was to find an exercise program that you can stick to. It will not only change your body but change your glow on your skin. And that’s what I want to talk about… our skin. That largest organ in our body. How can we care for it so that it still has our youthful color and elasticity.

Since I was 20 years old I have had a skin care regimen. And as a young lady I had the typical skin issues like acne and breaking out. It was my main reason for taking care of my skin. So I cleansed, toned, and moisturized faithfully. Oh and most importantly used eye cream.   I read years ago that to apply eye cream use your ring finger on your hand because it would not stretch the skin like the other fingers would. You could be ever so gentle with it. So I would apply my eye cream 2 times a day using my ring finger on either hand. To this day It has prevented me from having any crows feet or wrinkles below my eyes. You can use any type of eye cream that you like. I use one with alpha hydroxy in it (be careful not to get it in your eyes). And I do have a favorite if you want to know which one it is. Its affordable and still on the market. So cleanse your skin, tone if you want, but definitely moisturize. And another important tip….do not forget to treat your neck like you do your face. I’ll never forget the first time I saw an actress in a Soap opera I watched for years, showed up looking so so young. I wonder if she had a facelift and then I saw her neck and it told her real age. Because of what I saw I started treating my neck just like my face – cleanse, tone and moisterize. To this day my skin on my neck matches my skin on my face. And lastly the decotage. Same applies.

So a good skin care regimen is vital for a youthful look to your face , neck and decotage. And using a good Sunscreen is a good idea too if you like to be outdoors or sun bathe. I use it everyday regardless…. it’s in my moisturizer. You will see a difference in your skin, people will see it too and comment on how fabulous you look!
